Urgent Care Services
We provide urgent care medical services for children and adults, which means everyone in the family can receive same-day treatment for serious but non-emergency acute conditions and injuries. Medical conditions that are eligible for same-day treatment or urgent care include:
- Cold and flu
- Strep throat
- Rashes and insect bites
- Urinary tract infections (UTI)
- Fever and cough
- Acute wounds/lacerations and injuries
- Asthma and allergies; and
- Any non-emergency illness or injury that prevents you from doing your essential daily activities.
We also conduct in-office testing and labs to enable faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment. Unicare Plus Urgent care provides the following in-house tests for our patients:
- Urinalysis
- Pregnancy
- Rapid flu
- Rapid COVID-19
- COVID-19 PCR tests
- Rapid strep; and
- Rapid RSV/respiratory syncytial virus.
Physicals
Physicals are medical evaluations that accurately assess a patient’s current state of health. Unicare Plus offers several types of physicals for both children and adults, such as:
- Basic wellness checkups for patients of all ages (this does not replace annual wellness checkups with your primary care provider)
- Required school and sports physicals for children (please reserve your appointment at least 6 weeks in advance if possible)
- Work physicals
- DOT/Department of Transportation physicals
Drug Screens
We conduct precise drug testing that can accurately detect signs of illegal or prescription drugs in blood, urine, hair, saliva, or perspiration (sweat). Drug screens may be requested by employers during the hiring process, or after a workplace accident has occurred. It can be administered as part of a drug or alcohol rehabilitation program, or it can be mandated by court order under various circumstances. At Unicare Plus, you can be assured that all drug screening is always conducted in strict accordance to federal and state guidelines to ensure fairness, transparency, and accuracy.
On-Site X-ray services
Skip days of waiting and know your results within minutes. Unicare Plus Urgent Care offers in-house digital x-ray services, giving us an immediate, high-resolution image of the examined area, with expedited diagnosis and more timely treatment for our patients.
Chronic Care Medication Refills
Unicare Plus provides prescription refill services for patients with. chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disease, high blood pressure or hypertension, etc. Prescription refills are not available for controlled substances or ongoing refills; rather, Unicare Plus offers refills to help you bridge the gap between now and the next appointment with your primary care provider or chronic care specialist.
Suggested only for patients who need a one-time refill of non-habit-forming, non-controlled substances prescribed for chronic conditions. Visit us or give us a call to learn more.
immunizations
Unicare Plus provides immunization services for all types of vaccines that may be mandated or recommended for all of your employment and school needs, including TB testing and titers antibody testing.
*Physicals performed by Unicare Plus Urgent Care are not to replace comprehensive annual wellness visits with a primary care provider.
**Please reserve your appointment for School or Sports physicals at least 6 weeks in advance if possible.
***Prescription refills not available for controlled substances or ongoing refills. Available only for patients who need a one-time refill of non-habit-forming, non-controlled substances prescribed for chronic conditions to cover until a follow-up appointment with their primary care provider or specialist.
